A family owned business since 1980, The Alaska Walking Store got its start as Buster Brown shoes for kids. With many requests for women’s shoes, in 1982 we expanded to add the Naturalizer brand and had a total of 21 stores throughout Alaska.
In the early 90’s we saw the need for a store that helped Alaskan residents with comfortable, high quality, and stylish shoes. The store changed its name and style to become The Alaska Walking Store that shoppers know and love today.
The Alaska Walking Store now has the largest selection men’s and women’s shoes and boots in Alaska.
